Makes No Difference Who You Are, Believe
(Chicago, IL) Redefining the term Good Samaritan, Reflection Music Group (RMG) Christian hip hop recording artist Canon (Go Off) made national headlines with his near fatal heroic efforts and has many calling him a present-day super hero. The consequences however, are not so super and have left Canon who was touring promoting his new album, Loose Canon Vol 2 – hospitalized. Nevertheless, Cannon and his family are not forgotten thanks to the leadership of Tyscot Records/Tyscot LOUD recording artist, T.S.O. (All I Know). T.S.O. takes the lead and has gathered the Chicago hip hop community to support Canon at a free benefit concert, January 31, 2015 at The House part of Lawndale Community Church located at 3827 W. Ogden Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60623, (773)762-6389. Doors open at 6pm.
The benefit concert is the brainchild of T.S.O. (Totally Sold Out) who is the event organizer. T.S.O. leverages his remarkable influence within the city to unite Chicago hip hop artists in support of Canon and his family. T.S.O. said, “The benefit concert was a no brainer and the right thing to do because Canon risked his life without regard to himself to help a stranger. He is not only a husband and a father, he is a role model. I want the city of Chicago to come together with just as much passion and selflessness as Canon did, during his rescue attempt.”
T.S.O. further explained, “I’ve arranged for an amazing line-up of fellow hip hop artists to perform at the benefit concert for Canon. Here’s just a few that are confirmed, Chris Searcy, 6Way St., Kareem, Manuel, BreevEazie, Rapture, Gods Vision with guest DJs Ruckus and Rhino hosted by Keno and Drea. This is going to be an epic gathering with a purpose.”
After a December 20, 2014 performance in Tennessee, Chicago born hip hop artist Canon was severely injured while rescuing a driver from a car accident. The Leaf Chronicle reports that Canon saw a wrecked car on the side of the road and he pulled over to assist the driver who was still trapped in his car. The driver, disoriented, twisted the ignition key making gas spread rapidly throughout the vehicle. The fumes, forced Canon to flee from the vehicle because of the possibility of an explosion. Thinking there was a median in between, Canon then leaped over a rail, but because of the darkness of night he could not see and fell 20 feet down onto a creek bed instead. He was taken by Life flight helicopter to Vanderbilt hospital.
Canon who lives in Atlanta, was recently married in November 2014. He sustained injures resulting in a shattered ankle, broken jaw which is wired shut, broken ribs and a concussion. Canon is on hiatus from all performances during a required 3-6 month recovery period.
