Makes No Difference Who You Are, Believe
I am not one to brag. I believe in letting my work speak for itself but I’ve always been honored to have a partnership with Who Ced Hat line created by Cedric the Entertainer. You would think the celebrity appeal of being linked-up with Cedric, so to speak, would be the deliverable. Believe me when I tell you, for me, it is Cedric’s loving relationship with his wife and children (which you’ll read about in December 2014) his business tactics and giving away ½ million in college scholarships. This makes his celebrity appeal powerful and sustainable. The thing is, lol, what I just outlined has NOTHING to do with his stellar comedic career. Be impressed and inspired, as we are by the following:
Cedric heads-up a list of house-hold names in comedy to celebrate and honor the comedic genius of Richard Pryor in – A NIGHT FOR RICHARD, Sunday, November 2, 2014. Here’s the line-up: Cedric the Entertainer (The Soul Man) D.L. Hughley (The Hughleys) Eddie Griffin (Malcolm and Eddie) George Lopez (Lopez Tonight) Charlie Murphy (The Lottery Ticket) and Mike Epps (Sparkle) 7pm at the Peoria Civic Center managed by SMG in Peoria, IL.
As a native son of Peoria, Richard Pryor will receive a 7-foot statue in his honor created by Preston Jackson. Our hat is off to George Lopez who spear-headed this celebration of Richard Pryor.
Rosetta Boyce Kyles Women’s Pavilion at SSM St. Mary’s Health Center
Born Cedric Antonio Kyles, Cedric the Entertainer recently dedicated a wing in honor of his mother that is one of the first comprehensive women’s health centers of its kind in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The wing is named after his mother and Rosetta Boyce Kyles is a cancer survivor who has been a teacher for over 30 years.
News sources in St. Louis report that the clinic will redefine women’s health and provide medical services addressing, diabetes, obesity, depression, heart disease, osteoporosis, breast disease, cancer and dermatological conditions.
Cedric joined by Jill Scott held an inaugural gala benefiting the Rosetta Boyce Kyles Women’s Pavilion at SSM St. Mary’s Health Center on October 25, 2014 called An Evening with Cedric the Entertainer and Friends at Peabody Opera House.
Marla, Cedric’s publicist who is always gracious and accommodating no matter how busy she is, shared that thee Lionel Richie sang a re-worked version of ‘Three Times a Lady’ for Rosetta Boyce Kyles in a remarkably personal video message. And, Cedric gets his hat line in on the giving as the staff of SSM St. Mary’s Health Center collected donations using Who Ced Hats! What a way to top-off a very meaningful a truly star-studded benefit gala.
Get in Relationships with People Who Can Actually Cause Change
That’s all for now. And because I want to inspire and effect change, I hang around and link-up with people who use their gifts to inspire and change the world. Cedric says, “Get in relationships with people who can actually cause some change.”
