Artists Gather in South Africa for the Love of Poetry and Spoken Word

(Pretoria, South Africa) In an exciting and inspiring gathering of poets and spoken word artists, Cheryl Patterson and Universal Xperience in collaboration with In His Steps Magazine and Chi Alpha Tuks presents UNMASKED!


UNMASKED happens Saturday, June 7, 2014 at one of the top research institutions in Africa, the University of Pretoria located at Lynnwood Road, 0001 Pretoria, South Africa.  Meet-up on campus at The Stand and hang-out with In His Steps Magazine’s editor-in-chief Okeowo Adebayo who is the host of UNMASKED.


UNMASKED features United States poet, Chiccy Baritone a 2014 TED Conference/TEDx Greenville performer, with performances by popular South African spoken word artists, Given Illustrative Masilela, Thabang Tlaka and guitarist Ulrich Fobian. UNMASKED is free and a family friendly event open to all ages.
