South Carolina State University Names Dr. Maurice A. Lee Official Master of Ceremony

(Orangeburg, SC)  There are many meaningful reasons to celebrate the young modest Dr. Maurice A. Lee.  Credited with being the first Black male pharmacist from Eutawville, SC is just one of Lee’s many notable achievements.   Added to Lee’s growing list of successful outcomes and philanthropic efforts – – South Carolina State University Foundation names Lee official master of ceremony for their black tie Scholarship Gala and Tribute occurring Friday, February 28, 2014 at 7:00pm at the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.  A reception is planned and will occur at 6:15pm in the lobby area.

Last year, Lee celebrated eight years of providing college scholarships to graduating high school seniors through the M.A.Lee Scholarship Fund Gala and Awards Ceremony of which he is the founder and CEO.  Actor Darrin Henson (Soul Food) is the national spokesperson.  With 2013 being a milestone year, celebrities like actors Brian White ( Cabin in the Woods) Tyler Lepley (The Haves and the Have Nots) Multi Grammy award songwriter Tommy Sims (Eric Clapton, Cece) Grammy nominated singer Anita Wilson, Chuck Maldonado (Stomp the Yard)  Radio host Michael A. McFadden and Rose Rock (mother of Comedian/Actor Chris Rock) gathered in support of Lee’s remarkable philanthropic efforts to PAY IT FORWARD.

Look for his upcoming inspirational magazine called Life Experiences.  As a new magazine publisher, Lee names Cheryl Patterson as editor-in-chief.  Lee said  “Cheryl’s ideas are brilliant with meaningful outcomes. Her engaging concepts as managing editor of Impact Detroit Magazine are thought-provoking and innovative, on a national and grassroot level. Her social media tactics are an added value. I’m excited that she is available and on board for this journey.”  Lee desires to leverage stories that ignite, equip and empower people across the globe.  

In addition, the Life Experiences brand will leverage symposiums that are intimate and transparent featuring inspiring public figures in an effort to offer youth and young adults the blueprints to purpose, fulfillment and success.   These new platforms are extensions of Lee’s brand inspired by his award-winning book Life Experiences.
