Known for having their high-performance microphones endorsed by house-hold names in the music industry like Faith Evans, Bootsy Collins, Phil Keaggy and Atlantic Records, LEWITT has selected the daughter of a Motown Funk Brother, Beth Griffith as a 2014 solo performer at the popular National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center, 800 West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92802 on January 23 – January 26, 2014, Hall E and Levels 2 & 3. Doors open at 9:30am. Griffith performs in the LEWITT Lounge Thursday, January 23 at 1:30pm with an encore performance, Saturday, January 25 at 1:15pm.
Most recently Griffith was selected to perform in the 24th Annual Tribute to Heroes and Legends (HAL) Awards Dinner as a celebrity performer in 2013 at the Legends of Soul Concert at The House of Blues on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood, California in the Foundation Room. Honorees were: Sieddah Garrett, The Flamingos, Troy Carter and Chaka Khan.
As the daughter of original Funk Brother, Pianist Johnny Griffith, Beth represented her father in Hollywood as the legendary Motown Funk Brothers received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013. Stevie Wonder, Ray Parker Jr. joined surviving Funk Brothers – Jack Ashford, Joe Messina and Eddie Willis in the star-studded ceremony as guest speakers.
Griffith is a background vocalist for Universal Motown recording artist KEM and a former background vocalist for Grammy Award recording artist Anita Baker, Griffith is passionate about making meaningful music and prepares to join KEM at the Tom Joyner Cruise in March 2014.
As an aspiring actress, Griffith and worked very closely with the late Whitney Houston as a stand-in actress and body-double for Houston in the movie Sparkle. The issue celebrates the one year anniversary of the making of Sparkle in the city of Detroit.
