HAL Awards Select Beth Griffith as a Celebrity Performer at Legends of Soul Concert

(West Hollywood, CA) It’s Time for the Annual Tribute to Heroes and Legends (HAL) Awards Dinner. Get ready for a 2-day weekend celebrating 24 years.  This year, the HAL Awards include Detroit Singer, Actor Beth Griffith (daughter of original Funk Brother Pianist,  Johnny Griffith) hob_logo 233x83as a celebrity performer for the Legends of Soul Concert, Saturday, September 21, 2013 at The House of Blues located at 8430 Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood, California. Concert time is 7:00pm and occurs in the Foundation Room.

Johhny Griffith An Original Funk Brother

Beth Griffith, recently was honored to represent her father, Johnny Griffith as the legendary Motown Funk Brothers received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Some of the celebrities in attendance were Stevie Wonder and Ray Parker Jr.  They joined surviving Funk Brothers – Jack Ashford, Joe Messina and Eddie Willis in the star-studded ceremony.

Beth is a background vocalist for Universal Motown recording artist KEM and a former background vocalist for Grammy Award recording artist Anita Baker. Beth worked closely with Whitney Houston as Houston’s body-double and stand-in actor for the movie Sparkle.  Beth extends her brand as a sought-after cohost and is the cohost of radio shows Walk On Purpose with Kelly Crews and The Greg Davis Radio Show.  Beth is certainly no stranger to television as she appears on The Word Network with Lexi Allen and The Word Network Church LIVE aired on Wednesdays.  Beth also launched her own social media entertainment info segment called Back Stage with Beth.   ‘We’re Gonna Feel The Happiness’ is Beth’s latest Pop/RnB single produced, arranged and written by the remarkable hit-song writing duo, Mark Mazzetti and Eric Eden of Record Company In A Box. hal-lyreThe HAL Award 2-day weekend ends on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The honorees for 24th Annual Tribute to Heroes And Legends (HAL) Awards Dinner are:  Sieddah Garrett, The Flamingos, Troy Carter and thee Chaka Khan.  In recognition and appreciation of the musical contributions of former Supreme, Cindy Birdsong, a special presentation is planned called, The Supreme Love Endowment.
